Have you ever had that feeling that you were being lied to? Didn’t it make you trust the person even less?
A great post by John Sumser describes why you should be honest in your job search. John talks about how hiring managers will know if you are hiding something; it will affect your confidence level and eye contact.
If you believe you’re being discriminated against because of some characteristic (gender, age, experience, etc.), and you’re hoping you can cover it up, don’t. The potential employer will suspect something, and will cause them to get a bad impression of you. Instead, learn to accept the past and be confident in who you are — ““always be honest””.
